On 23 and 24 June, members of the Charles Diplomacy Society had the pleasure of attending two events marking the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, hosted by the diplomatic community in Prague.
On 23 June, we were welcomed at the Embassy of France for a round table on Women in Diplomacy and the Media in Conflict Zones, with particular attention to Ukraine. The discussion brought together distinguished speakers from the diplomatic and media worlds, who shared their professional experiences of working in and reporting from conflict settings. It was a candid and thought provoking exchange on the responsibilities and realities faced by women in these professions.

The following day, 24 June, we attended an event at the Embassy of Italy, held in cooperation with the Embassy of Spain. The evening offered another engaging discussion on the role of women in diplomacy, complemented by the warm and collegial atmosphere that characterises such gatherings.
We are grateful to the Embassies of France, Italy, and Spain for their kind invitations and for two insightful evenings. Events like these are a valuable reminder of the importance of dialogue, representation, and cooperation in international affairs, and we look forward to continuing to engage with the diplomatic community in Prague.
